Heuchera ‘Citronelle’ PPAF
|
With its dense mounds of chartreuse foliage, Heuchera ‘Citronelle’ makes a beautiful bright display, especially when contrasted with darker plants. Sprays of white flowers rise above its foliage in summer. As an x villosa hybrid, H. ‘Citronelle’ has exceptional vigour, better tolerance for heat, humidity and sunlight than many other cultivars, though protection from strong sunlight is still recommended.
Uses Grow massed as an edger, or as a specimen in the front of the border, in the rock garden, in the woodland, or in a container. Leaves and flowers can be cut for arrangements. Attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. Cultivation Grows best in rich, moist, well-drained soil in full sun to full shade. Provide adequate moisture in full sun. Divide clumps every 3 to 4 years. Resistant to pests and diseases, and not usually appealing to deer.
