Brunnera ‘Emerald Mist’ PPAF
|
Beautiful Brunnera ‘Emerald Mist’ has more silver barring over B. ‘Langtrees,’ with the bars connecting to form a silver collar around each edge. Its heart-shaped leaves also have a light dusting of silver over the entire surface, bestowing a unique metallic appearance. It produces tiny, baby blue flowers in spring and has a mounding growth habit. An outstanding easy care and deer resistant perennial for the shade!
Uses Use as a specimen or massed as a ground cover in the shady border, woodland garden, along streams or ponds, or add to a container. Both flowers and leaves are suitable for bouquets. Cultivation Grow in average, moist, well-drained soil in part shade. Cut back old foliage in spring rather than in fall to help protect the crown during the winter. A winter mulch is also recommended. No serious disease or insect problems. Not usually attractive to deer.
