Campanula makaschvilii

A charming rare plant from the Caucasus, only recently introduced to cultivation, this Bellfower is composed of gracefully arching stems of pretty little heart-shaped leaves grey-green in colour. Adorning their length are large flaring bells, cream to pale pink, each lined attractively in deep pink. With its extended season of bloom, this is a long-lived treasure for the summer garden.

Uses

Use in the moist, well-drained border or rock garden. Appealing to hummingbirds.

Cultivation

Grows best in full sun, in well-drained soil and average water. Not likely to be appealing to deer.
