Geranium macrorrhizum ‘White Ness’

Luxurious Geranium ‘White Ness’ is a stunning asset for the shade garden, with all the sturdiness of the species. However, an abundance of pure white flowers cover this Scented Cranesbill in early summer, longer than others of the species. Its beautiful pure-white flowers are formed from broad overlapping petals and set off with long, yellow-tipped stamens. Strongly aromatic leaves are also paler, lighting up the shade garden!

Uses

Effective used as an edging plant or groundcover in shady borders or woodland gardens. Attracts butterflies.

Cultivation

Grow in part to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. It will also tolerate periods of drought once established. It is not usually favoured by deer or rabbits, nor bothered by insects or diseases.
