Geum coccineum ‘Eos’

Such a flamboyant garden personality! Geum ‘Eos’ has small blossoms of neon orange on tall strong stems carried above zingy yellow foliage. Its main blooming period is late spring through early summer. If deadheaded promptly, this vigorous plant may intermittently bloom longer. The striking leaves remain ‘evergreen’ (ever-yellow) for the entire season. For a plant of small stature, it makes a sensational impact!

Uses

Plant as an accent in the front of the border or in the rock garden, use in containers, or cut for flowers and foliage. Attractive to butterflies.

Cultivation

Requires full sun to light shade in moist, humusy, well-drained soil. Divide frequently, as newly divided plants bloom longer and stronger than older ones. Deadheading will promote longer flowering. Not usually bothered by insect pests or diseases.
