Hemerocallis ‘Lavender Stardust’

Fragrant! The clear, lavender pink blossoms of diploid Hemerocallis ‘Lavender Stardust’ have light pink midribs, a bright yellow halo and a soft green throat. Its ruffled, sculpted petals are of heavy substance with sunfast colour and the bloom is fully 15 cm across. Vigorous growth and superb healthy foliage characterize this dormant Daylily, which blooms in mid to late summer with repeat bloom into fall if the season is long.
Uses Use in borders, as a specimen or massed. Daylilies can survive harsh conditions such as polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils and near pavement that is salted in winter. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Can be cut for floral arrangements. Cultivation Prefers full sun to light shade in average to moist, rich soil. Although tough and drought tolerant, this plant appreciates deep watering in dry spells. Divide every four to five years for best bloom. Not usually bothered by pests or diseases, nor favoured by rabbits.
