Hemerocallis ‘Longfield’s Ice Cup’

This new and compact Daylily has creamy 10 cm blossoms of an appealing pristine shape. Flowering it midsummer, it will also repeat bloom. Hemerocallis ‘Longfield’s Ice Cup’ is a tough little plant appropriate for space-challenged gardens and containers.

Uses

Use in borders, as a specimen or massed, or in patio pots. Daylilies can survive harsh conditions such as polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils and near pavement that is salted in winter. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Can be cut for floral arrangements.

Cultivation

Prefers full sun to light shade in average to moist, rich soil. Although tough and drought tolerant, this plant appreciates deep watering in dry spells. Divide every four to five years for best bloom. Not usually bothered by pests or diseases, nor favoured by rabbits.
