Hosta ‘Restless Sea’
|
Forming a truly fascinating clump, Hosta ‘Restless Sea’ is composed of upright grey-green twisty leaves with rippled and serrated edges that are cupped at the base. Appearing to be in a state of constant motion, the 75 cm wide clump is topped with 60 cm spikes of pale lavender flowers in late summer.
Uses Excellent as a specimen or massed in partly shady borders, open woodland gardens or near water. Both flowers and leaves are attractive in flower arrangements. Attracts hummingbirds. Cultivation Plant in light shade in rich, well-drained soil that is average to moist. Fairly tolerant of dry soils once established. This plant demonstrates good resistance to slugs, and is not usually a favourite with rabbits.
