Monarda didyma ‘Grande Parade’ PPAF

Exceptional hardiness, an abundance of bright lavender purple flowers from mid to late summer and a compact habit distinguish Monarda ‘Grand Parade.’ This new cultivar also has deep green, fragrant foliage with excellent mildew resistance. Perfect for the front of the border or even containers. In a fraction of the space of a full-sized Monarda, this compact plant new Bee Balm provides all the same benefits!

Uses

Use as a specimen or massed in borders, at woodland edges, in moist sunny areas along streams or ponds, or in patio pots. Fragrant foliage and flowers are good for cutting. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.

Cultivation

Prefers full sun and rich, moist soil, but average soil and light shade are tolerated. To keep plants healthy and vigorous, they should be divided at least every three years in spring. Not usually favoured by deer.
