Monarda didyma ‘Pink Lace’ PPAF

Delightful Monarda ‘Pink Lace’ is a floriferous new Bee Balm with masses of soft pink blooms over a long season from midsummer to early fall. The slender, frilly pink petals contrast nicely with its purple flower centres and handsome dark stems. Disease resistant foliage, along with compact, tidy growth makes it perfect for the front of the border or even in containers. In a fraction of the space of a full-sized Monarda, this compact plant offers all the same benefits!

Uses

Use as a specimen or massed in borders, at woodland edges, in moist sunny areas along streams or ponds, or in patio pots. Fragrant foliage and flowers are good for cutting. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.

Cultivation

Prefers full sun and rich, moist soil, but average soil and light shade are tolerated. To keep plants healthy and vigorous, they should be divided at least every three years in spring. Not usually favoured by deer.
